Tennessee is known for its vast number of creeks, rivers, lakes and waterfalls  - all which are attractive to Kayakers.  Whether you are looking for calm lakes such as Indian Boundary, looking for intermediate rivers such as Hiwassee River or are drawn to the Class III-IV waters on the  Upper Tellico River and Bald Rivers- you won't be disappointed!  Within a 30 minute drive is the Ocoee River which also boasts excellent kayaking, including clinics for those who want to learn this great sport!  Lastly, don't forget to pay a visit to Ocoee White Water Center which hosted the 1996 Summer Olympics - Canoe, Kayak and Slalom events!
